For the love of cryptopunks
a Fan Website

What the fuck is this?

If you’re here, you’re probably interested in CryptoPunks, the era-defining, 10,000-piece art project created by Matt Hall and John Watkinson, also known as Larva Labs.

You’ve put CryptoPunks.com into your browser, and you’ve wound up here.

This is not a marketplace! You can’t buy a Punk here (in order to do that, try here).

This is a fan site: a love letter to a project whose beauty, history, and community inspire me.

I’m just another warrior in the crypto trenches who dreams of owning a Punk - of saying to the world that crypto is here to stay and is, in many ways, my home.

Every one of us comes to crypto and to Punks for a different reason. Our origin stories are meaningful to us, but what’s really interesting is the dazzling array of experiences, origins, and identities that we bring with us. No matter where we come from, we’re united by a common goal: to bring crypto to the world.

This website might become more as time progresses, but for now, the plan is to put up some great, reliable information about Punks so people who are new to the project can get up to speed and learn before they take the plunge and buy their first Punk.

Remember, the crypto space is full of nefarious people who would steal your hard-earned crypto, so when you’re ready to take the leap and buy, use a reputable and verified marketplace to do so—the links on this site are a great start.

It’s also important to remember that social media is full of people who pretend they own a Punk! You can use marketplaces like CryptoPunks.eth.limo, CryptoPunks.app, OpenSea or Magic Eden to find the Punk in someone’s profile and the wallet that owns it, then cross-reference to other sites to confirm whether the wallet holding a Punk is linked to a social media account.

As always within crypto, the information presented here is for educational purposes only and is not to be taken as financial advice. It’s important to always do your own research, maintain good security practice, and double-check everything.

Although I like to stay in the shadows, I’m always glad to hear from Punk fans and holders—reach me at the contact form. I can’t always reply to everyone, but I read all messages. Let me know what you’d like to see here—when time permits, I’ll post articles exploring Punk history, technology, and culture.
